For over 20 years, I have worked primarily with families experiencing the difficulties of divorce and help them make the transition from a pre- to a post-divorce family. The ending of a relationship is an emotional decision with legal and financial implications, not a legal and financial decision with emotional consequences. Starting with this understanding changes the focus and often the outcome of a divorce by decreasing the conflict through recognition of the feelings that are driving the process. I work with parents to develop parenting plans that meet the needs of their children and both parents and specialize in the unique issues experienced in blended families.
I provide services as a co-parenting therapist, court-appointed mediator, private non-recommending mediator, family therapist, as well as individual and couples therapy. I also work together with attorneys to offer Integrative Mediation.
I am currently a board member of Integrative Mediation Bay Area and a past board member and chair of Collaborative Practice East Bay and a past board member of the Contra Costa Psychological Association.
