Brian Jacobs, LCSW
Over my years in practice, I have developed a style that is compassionate, straightforward and to the point. My ability to quickly discern and focus on a client’s issues allows for results-oriented therapy.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I have an eclectic therapeutic point of view which clearly embraces the social work model. All aspects of a client’s life – family, work, school, home, friends, interests, goals, past and present relationships and experiences – are, as needed, placed in the open, appreciated, and valued in reaching an understanding of and resolution to the client’s concerns.
I recognize that your situation is unique and make every effort to understand all aspects of your life in order to deliver highly personalized treatment that maximizes your success. I am a dedicated professional committed to providing quality mental health services. My belief is that all people are valuable and should be treated with dignity and respect. While recognizing the potential for change, an assessment of your emotional, physical, spiritual, and life experience is provided in a caring environment.
I have particular experience working with difficult family situations, teens, adults, military, and public safety officers. Often, clients present with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADD, parent/child difficulties and relationship concerns.
I received my Bachelors in Sociology from Sonoma State University and my Masters in Social Work from Colorado State University. I have been licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in California since 2001. My license number is #LCS20203
